Overview
An exciting InsurTech is looking to hire a Lead Data Scientist or Head of Data Science. The company is growing quickly and is looking to expand and enhance its Data Science team. This role will work closely with the CEO, CTO and CPO and will be have strategic focus within the business. Salary: £80,000 - 110,000 (Depending on experience) Location: Old Street, London The Lead / Head of Data Science Role: Build out the machine learning platform Manage a small team and mentoring wider business on technical matter Oversee architecting data pipelines and machine learning processes Work closely with the CEO to develop how the company is using data Ideal Requirements: 5 years experience as a data scientist within in the insurance industry Experience of leading the machine learning and statistical capabilities of a company a Experience developing data processing and modelling platforms to solve complex business problems Experience of predictive modelling techniques (e.g. Logistic Regression, Decision Trees etc.) Strong technical experience of data science tools and languages (Python: Pandas / NumPy / Scikitlearn, Jupyter notebooks, PySpark) Nice to have: AWS cloud and toolset experience (S3, Glue (Pyspark), Sagemaker, Streaming data) Experience with pricing and predictive modelling in the motor insurance industry For more information please apply to this advert or contact
