Finance Analyst

Leading household name based in the Bradford area currently requires a CIMA/ACCA/ACA part qualified Accountant to join their expanding commercial finance function in a newly created role. Your role will support one of the key areas of the business. Working directly with the finance manager key responsibilities will be to develop a solid understanding of your division undertaking end to end responsibility for the financial reporting to support key business decisions. While working within this fast paced finance function your duties will include: Ensure accurate & timely month end accounts with insightful commentary Balance sheet reconciliations - highlighting risks and opportunities Posting journals Challenge operational cost to ensure efficient practice Provide accurate financial analysis to aid commercial decision making Forecast and budget preparation Supporting the continual review and improvement of procedures and key controls Assisting with ad hoc projects Candidate Requirements: Be studying towards a full accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Have excellent communication skills Analytical skills and high attention to detail Retail experience preferable -some understanding of the challenges & KPI's in managing a retail business Excel skills with the ability to use pivot tables and vlookups Ideally you will have previous experience within a similar position. Consideration will also be given to anyone from a practice background looking to make their first move into industry.
