Head of Finance Permanent position based in Bradford Reporting to Chief Executive & Director of Operations Salary: £50k - £55k plus package Ashley Kate HR & Finance have been engaged on a search for a Head of Finance who will have a key role within the transformation and growth plans of this group of entities within the education sector. Reporting into the Director of Operations and Chief Executive this position will manage the overall finance function. Key responsibilities include: Ensure that all financial activities are completed including monthly financial reports, month and year end process, approving expenditure, analysis of spend, budgeting and forecasting and to take responsibility for the monthly balance of accounts. Development planning by consistently implementing agreed policies and initiatives Provide strategic financial management to support the stakeholders and to Influence strategic financial decision making across the group Plan and manage change in accordance with the Strategic Development Plan and provide outstanding strategic and operational leadership in all areas of finance Performance manage all finance staff, through regular meetings, setting of appropriate targets for performance, providing support and challenge, and undertaking regular reviews for feedback Lead and manage the effective operation of payroll, bank accounts, including monthly reconciliation of bank statements, financial compliance with audit requirements and to liaise with internal and external audit To be successful in this position you will be: Qualified ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW with 5 years experience Experience of working in a strategic senior management positions Experience of managing teams in multi locations and across multiple sites Management of a multi-million pound budget Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP, procurement and contract management An understanding of working within the education sector or similar sector
