We’re now looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our state of the art dairy site, based in Ossett, Yorkshire We’re looking for an individual that loves a challenge, loves food, and loves to get stuck into a fast paced working environment. Key responsibilities Carrying out reactive and proactive maintenance to all site plant and equipment. Resolving equipment failures and carrying out planned and unplanned engineering tasks in a responsive and effective manner. Adherence to Safety Health & Environmental policies and procedures and carry out all tasks in a safe and controlled manner. Pro-active team working with peers, production, quality and support groups to improve equipment reliability and performance. Repairing and maintaining equipment so as to provide best possible equipment availability for delivering production and business needs. Taking personal accountability for providing a responsive and effective service. Actively support engineering improvements and changes to maintain and enhance their competitive edge within the group of companies and business competitors. Respond to breakdowns, systematically fault find, and identify root cause and then implement solution to prevent recurrence. Carry out planned maintenance and identify continuous improvements to increase equipment efficiency. Decisions on prioritisation when managing multiple requests for engineering support. Actively striving to identify and implement improvements both on the production lines and within the department Work with production, support groups and suppliers to implement improvement opportunities to increase equipment efficiency and safety and reduce engineering downtime. Qualifications and skills HNC in an engineering discipline - will accept lower if experience reflects Relevant H&S qualifications e.g. IOSH, Confined Spaces etc Experience of fault-finding diagnostics and procedure FMCG experience Whilst experience is important, finding the right person who will live and breathe our Kerry Foods Values is something we’re super passionate about.
