MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER JOB NEAR TRING, BUCKINGHAMSHIRE A globally established and highly successful organisation involved in automotive, aerospace and defence technology are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer – Rotating Equipment to join their UK headquarters based near Tring, Buckinghamshire. The Mechanical Design Engineer – Rotating Equipment will be leading the design activities for the design of next generation generator products and developing these into manufacturable designs. Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer – Rotating Equipment job: Lead design engineering activities from concept, through development and qualification test Carry out design calculations e.g. thermal growths, hoop and tensile stresses and tolerance analysis to support designs Liaise closely with other project team members Monitor progress in accordance with pre-agreed monthly milestone targets Key skills / experience required for the Mechanical Design Engineer – Rotating Equipment job: A Mechanical, Automotive or Aeronautical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification Confident user of 3D CAD software for design (NX would be ideal) Experience with GD&T and FEA Knowledge of electrical machines / rotating machinery would be very beneficial This is a great chance for a Mechanical Design Engineer – Rotating Equipment to join a well-established market leader offering fantastic future progression opportunities and an extensive benefits package.
