Overview
The Company Our client is leading independent UK manufacturer of analogue addressable fire and emergency lighting control panels. We are looking to recruit 3 production operators to work on a temporary to permanent basis. Hours of work: 38 hours per week Salary: £8.75 per hour. Rising to £9.01 per hour on completion of successful 6 month probationary period. Location: Newcastle Reporting to: Team Leader Scope of Role The main responsibilities for this role will be to assemble the Company’s products, ensuring the highest of quality standards are met The Job Role The ideal candidate will have experience of working in manufacturing, have good knowledge of the electronics assembly environment, and be able to demonstrate some of the skills detailed below: • Use of all production equipment including surfacemount, light guides and flowsolder equipment • Able to understand Assembly build documentation • Electronic component recognition • PCB assembly • Hand population, inspection, touch up and testing of PCBs • Hand soldering • Final assembly and test Personal Attributes • Excellent attention to detail, with good eyesight and dexterity, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately. • Self-motivated and able to work under own initiative. • Reliable and able to demonstrate a flexible approach.
