Overview
Due to the continued growth of our oncology and haematology service we are looking for a part time oncology nurse to join our team. Ideally you will have an interest in a specialist area of oncology that you can develop. You will be fully supported through your UKONS passport competencies. Our Chemotherapy Nurses see our patients through a holistic pathway, including pre-assessment treatments and specialist clinics, enabling you to spend more quality time with your patients, seeing an average of 3-4 patients per day. The Wellesley has 3 Theatres (2 laminar flow) and an endoscopy unit, a 33 bedded Surgical Ward covering a wide variety of specialties including Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, General Surgery, Vascular, Plastics, Gynae, Ophthalmology, Spinal, Urology and ENT. We have had a recent Theatre refurbishment to further upgrade our theatre environment and bringing cutting edge technology to our hospital. Duties and responsibilities Within our oncology and haematology service we cover a wide variety of cancers including breast, upper and lower GI, lung, ovarian, oesophageal, prostate and bladder.
