Head of Volunteering Location: MSSC HQ, Lambeth Contract : Permanent, Full-time (Part-time considered for the right candidate) Application : CV & Supporting Statement Salary : £40,000 (pro-rata if part-time) Closing date : 3 rd April 2020 Interviews : 16 th April 2020 Marine Society and Sea Cadets (MSSC) is a leading maritime charity in lifelong learning and personal development and is the governing charity of the Sea Cadet Corps (SCC), a civilian voluntary youth organisation engaging some 14,000 young people across 400 or so volunteer Sea Cadet Units, throughout the UK. The SCC offers a wide range of youth opportunities with the same enduring objective – to give young people the best possible head start in life through nautical adventure and fun. We are seeking to appoint a Head of Volunteering This is an exciting time for volunteering in the Sea Cadets with a new volunteer strategy and the opportunity to make a real difference to the way volunteers are supported. This post will be central to that work. The Head of Volunteering will be responsible for developing and shaping the volunteering experience in the Sea Cadets in line with the new volunteering strategy, including the recruitment, induction, management, support and recognition of volunteers. An appointment on the basis of 3 or 4 days per week could be considered for the right candidate. Applications should consist of a CV and supporting statement .
