Overview
Service & Commissioning Engineer. PLC / control systems experience. Home based (UK and occasional international work). Basic up to £38,000 bonuses / allowances (OTE £46,000). Located in Scotland, and part of a group of UK based companies, my client is a leading manufacturer of custom-made fabricated equipment, for use at extreme temperatures. They provide their equipment and services to a large number of 'blue chip' companies; both in the UK and also overseas. A fully comprehensive service is offered, which includes design, installation, commissioning and repair. Due to a growing orderbook and new business won across the globe, they are now looking to recruit a new Service / Commissioning Engineer to join their talented team. Essentially, my client is looking for an 'electrically-biased' Service / Commissioning engineer, who has experience in PLCs and who has ideally already worked in the servicing, maintenance, commissioning and installation of capital or special purpose equipment. Although you will not be required to program PLCs, you will be expected to read the code, find faults and fix them. A large percentage of your time will be spent working in the UK, but there may also be a small amount of worldwide travel; as and when required. You will not be expected to make regular visits to Head Office, so with this in mind, you will need to be self-motivated, efficient and happy to work to your own initiative. My client is offering a negotiable salary of up to £38,000. In addition, you will receive quarterly bonuses, a company vehicle, competitive pension and weekend allowances when working abroad.
