Overview
Our client is the London office of an international law firm, known around the globe for its jurisdiction-specific expertise in the projects space. They are now looking for a UK, New Zealand or Australian-qualified junior project finance lawyer (2-3 PQE) to represent and advise a diverse client base across EMEA. The London banking and finance team has a particular focus on the mining and energy sectors and you will be involved on a range of work on behalf of both lenders and borrowers. Work may range from simple credit arrangements to complex multi-facility, multi currency financing with multiple syndicates. The ideal candidate for the role will have the following: Qualified either in the UK, New Zealand or Australia, with two-three years' post-qualification experience in banking and finance law; Strong basic legal skills, including drafting, writing, negotiation and project management; Excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills. Sector-specific (infrastructure projects, mining, energy) would be beneficial but is not required. Candidates qualified in New Zealand or Australia with high quality experience and the right to work in the UK are encouraged to apply. Unfortunately Tier 2 sponsorship is not available.
