Overview
Transformation Manager Network Services - This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Network Manager to become an integral part of the Digital Policing Department within the Metropolitan Police, responsible for the delivery, service design and introduction of LAN, WAN and IPT Network service capabilities. You will benefit from a generous annual leave package, Civil Service pension, brand discounts, flexible working and more Role Overview As Transformation Manager - Network Services, you will be accountable for the "big picture" oversight for the design and implementation across a number of key suppliers. You will exploit existing service and technology investments to maximise ROI and develop technology roadmaps that align to business strategy, the technology blueprint and vendor roadmaps. Reporting to the Head of Network Services, you will provide assurance alongside the SIAM Tower for the quality of deliverables produced by the build functions as well as commercial aspects of the delivery of contracted services. You will be responsible for identifying technology risks (including cyber security) and ensuring mitigating controls are established. Role Requirements The successful Transformation Manager - Network Services will be commercially astute with knowledge of emerging infrastructure technologies and vendor landscapes. You will have a strong sense of purpose and proactively seek responsibility and ownership. You will have the ability to absorb complex technical information and communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Extensive knowledge of the system development lifecycle is a must, along with a good understanding of enterprise solutions.
