Founded in 2003, Alpha Schools has quietly grown to be one of the largest operators of independent schools in the UK. About the role: Reporting into the Operations Manager, the Office Administrator will be responsible in ensuring that the day to day office management tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner. In addition, supporting HR administration and assisting the Directors on an ad-hoc basis. We expect the successful candidate to take an active interest in understanding the business they work in, building knowledge of our processes and priorities. The Operations Manager can rely on their judgement to understand priorities and how the various business processes contribute to achieving objectives. Responsibilities: - To provide administrative support to the Operations Manager and Directors - Develop, implement and maintain office management systems that will ensure the efficient running of the office - Preparing a wide range of documentation including correspondences, reports and presentations - Building effective relationships with internal and external parties - Booking accommodation, transport, team activities and restaurants when required - Assist with HR administration and recruitment - Answering incoming telephone calls, dealing with general enquiries and transferring callers when necessary - Provide refreshments for meetings Requirements: - Professional, clear and confident communication skills on the telephone - Excellent verbal, written and communications skills, including the ability to write letters and other correspondences - Excellent organisation skills - Attention to detail and the ability to always produce accurate work which is clear and complete - Excellent IT skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook) - A proven track record in an office administrative role The hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm We offer a competitive salary. A full driving licence is essential, as there will be some opportunity to travel nationally.
