Support Worker Location: Brandon, County Durham Salary: £14,942 per annum pro rata Contract: Full, part time and bank positions available Hours: Flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and sleep-in nights Are you looking for an existing opportunity and rewarding career in Health & Social Care? About Us: Oaklea customers living in Brandon, County Durham are looking for new employees to support them in their daily lives. Support Worker - About the Role: You will need to be able to work as part of a team and individually, provide a high standard of care to our customers and be flexible in your availability to work. Your responsibilities will be: Support a number of individuals with learning and physical disabilities Support customers with challenging behaviours Support customers with manual handling, including direct personal care Provide support with daily living skills e.g. banking, budgeting, cooking and social activities such as supporting our customers to go swimming, attending football matches and theatre shows Communicate effectively with the customer networks e.g. family, medical professionals Working with Oaklea is both rewarding as well as at times challenging. Support Worker - What We Need from You: The successful applicants will have a caring personality, good communication skills, friendly personality and a good sense of humour. Applicants must be able to follow guidance from the Team Manager and undertake all training as required. The position involves working flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and sleep-in nights.
