Overview

Assured Safety Recruitment are seeking a Compliance Manager with specific knowledge and expertise in relation to managing risks across a diverse property portfolio. The role is critical component in ensuring that a substantial residential investment portfolio is legally compliant and adopts best practice in relation to all H&S matters and that fire risk. The main responsibilities of the Compliance: Develop and implement an effective risk management approach to compliance within the group. Act as the Group's lead advisor for compliance areas across all services. Assess the effectiveness of the compliance management model and policies, procedures and guidance. Develop and implement an effective and timely programme of inspections, repairs and risk mitigation activity. Manage the Compliance team, including recruitment, performance management, personal development and support. Assisting in-house legal, insurance, finance, consents and asset investigations teams Assisting with acquisition due diligence ensuring all H&S matters are thoroughly reviewed Manage stakeholders, negotiating and building constructive working relationships. Develop and review budgets ensuring expenditure is managed in line with the group's forecasts. The Successful Applicant The person will have detailed knowledge and experience of the H&S regulatoryframework, property construction and building maintenance. Knowledge of building construction and maintenance of low/high rise residential blocks; building/defects surveys affecting the integrity and safety of a building and its occupants Knowledge of government and industry guidance including regulations relating to Asbestos, Fire, Water and Lifts management. ISOH diploma or equivalent qualification. Proven experience managing asset compliance in public housing. Experience in leading and managing a team. Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build strong working relationships. Knowledge and understanding of Landlord's statutory repair, maintenance and H&S responsibilities.
