2nd Line Support Analyst Pertemps are currently recruiting for an excellent opportunity to be part of a great team environment in a rapidly growing business responsible for providing a cost effective, reliable, efficient and sustainable delivery service meeting the customers' needs and in line with the Company's objectives we need a subject matter expert to serve as In-House 2nd Level IT support. This business is looking for someone with strong IT support skills to act as a key resolver within both a first line and second line support function. This role will be ideal for anyone who an experience hands-on support engineer with a customer focused approach who continuously looks for new solutions and process improvement You will on occasions be dealing with customers on a day-to-day basis; therefore it will be important to be well-spoken and articulate at all times. Duties & Responsibilities : • Provide 1st and 2nd Level technical support to all users including support in PC hardware, laptops, printers, and LAN/WLAN, TCP/IP connection • Understand the design, development and configuration of new and existing applications in relation to Business as Usual service delivery • Analyse, diagnose and resolve complex system issues including system integration issues • Analyse technical documentation to understand associated interdependencies and make recommendations for service change/improvement • Develop, amend and deliver management information reports • Provide technical support for new and changed services • Understand complex business requirements and provide support and guidance to deliver an appropriate technical solution • Liaise with other support teams within the organisation and external organisations (e.g. third-party software suppliers) • To assist with the configuration and deployment of new equipment and to ensure they are installed correctly and are fully functional • Daily system checks • To diagnose, troubleshoot and correct problems within systems • To assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department • To provide basic training to new and existing staff as needed • To support the IT department with future business development projects • Assist with out of hours support where required • Provide reports and updates regarding daily system activities/projects to the IT manager • Ensure suitable working Anti-Virus and Backup Solutions in place • Carry out timely deployment of hardware/software Applicant Criteria • Experience in supporting users face to face, over the phone and/or via email. • The ability to solve problems and think analytically. • Attention to detail. • Excellent understanding of IT and networking. • Strong written and verbal communications. • Good knowledge of Windows server administration, troubleshooting and IP addressing. • Advanced range of IT skills including Operating Systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint) and hardware/technical skills • Full driving license • Willingness to travel if required (infrequent) • Well organised with a good ability to time manage • Strong understanding and experience of PC hardware set-up and configuration • SQL standard and server experience • Fully competent in use and set up Office 365 • LINUX experience • PowerShell scripting knowledge • AD knowledge and use • Telephone System Experience • Virtual machine management experience • Experience in networking If you are interested in this position apply now or for more information call Ella on .
