Overview
Portfolio Director I am currently working in partnership with a global leader in providing financial and business risk data, who are actively looking for an experienced Portfolio Director to drive the group focus on providing the best in class solutions to their market leading Content Intelligence Products. This role suits a Portfolio Director with experience overseeing the end-to-end technical delivery of large scale projects and programmes. This role will also include bringing new capabilities to the market or implementing change to existing products within the business, covering the full SDLC. The technology delivery team currently specialise in enhancing a range of powerful data driven applications that enable customers to understand the market and make business critical decisions. These applications also give clients access to a directory of financial professionals on a platform that acts as a catalyst for innovation in global financial services industry. This role will require line management of up to 5 programme managers and a team of up to 20 technical project managers. Your future responsibilities: Define, document and delivery large-scale programmes of work requiring the management of significant uncertainty Define and champion programme governance to ensure there is sufficient executive support and guidance. Build effective relationships to ensure the success of projects Has effective control, leadership and responsibility for the delivery of the programme - including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and business value. Develops and leads the process for dealing with rapid major change. Ensures the communication channels and processes are in place to notify key stakeholders so that plans can be amended and the necessary action taken. Provides thought leadership on all aspects of the programme in order to ensure successful delivery. Effectively communicates highly complex ideas at multiple organisational levels and modifies personal approach and style to reflect changing circumstance.
