Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team particularly in respect of team development. The role could cover any aspect of work in the Family and Friends Team in relation to assessment, support and approval of Family and Friends Foster carers, as well as identifying and facilitating Special Guardianship Support Plans. The role could include staff supervision, support and mentoring, co-working tasks and a role in service development. The role will require a range of skills and knowledge including: Creativity and drive to continually improve the service we provide to children and families. A proven ability to produce good quality analytical and professional assessment work within required timescales. Dedication to supporting the team to provide a good quality service including through performance monitoring and evaluation. Dedication to working respectfully in partnership with carers and children to safeguard and meet their needs. Confident but careful, balanced and analytical decision making skills. A respectful approach to working in partnership with other professionals. Excellent team work skills. As a senior in the team you will require a positive and helpful approach to team working and an understanding of how individual attitudes and behaviour can impact upon group development and your role in this.
