Overview

Encocam engineering in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire are now recruiting a Senior Moulding Technician to work in our Mould shop making the parts for our crash test dummy division; known professionally as anthropomorphic test devices (ATDs). You will be highly skilled in rubber moulding with an in-depth knowledge of patterns, which are all made in-house. Maybe you’ve worked in a manufacturing / engineering environment and are familiar with hand-cast techniques; or done similar work with the film industry on hand made production techniques or mannequins and are looking to transfer your skills across. This is a unique opportunity to get involved in something special. Key responsibilities of the role: · Help lead the Company’s development of moulded components to ensure quality parts for crash and non-crash products. · Advise on dummy part development to support the Company’s product range. · Produce dummy parts to satisfy customer orders on time, to the required quality. · Support the delivery of projects from concept design to handover. This includes specification, planning, implementation and evaluation. · Follow and implement departmental procedures. · Effective communication and co-ordination with customers and suppliers both internal and external. · Provide technical support to sales, customers and production. · Ensure a close working relationship with sales ensuring that customer needs are met. · Ensure technical specifications are available for relevant development and production materials. · Support the preparation of relevant job packs and drawings for production purposes. · The preparation of samples for customer and in-house testing. · Lead by example and mentor the junior members in the department. · Assist the ATD Mouldings Manager in compiling build logs and work instructions. · Assist in the creation of a 5s culture within the department. You will have an interest and enthusiasm in engineering along with some prior experience / qualification with moulded components.
