Join us as a Hospital Billing Administrator within our newly formed Shared Services Finance team and play your part in building a healthier nation. Our Support Centre in Epsom, Surrey is the hub of our national operation, supplying services in Finance, IT, Procurement, Legal, Marketing and HR to make Nuffield Health the best organisation it can be - for our patients, our members and our people. The opportunity As a Billings Administrator, a key member of our shared service transactional team you'll be responsible for generating the financial invoice on our patient's account, accurately reflecting the financial outcome of our patient's pathway. Your responsibilities will include: Applying the correct coding and pricing to the patients' record, complying with the appropriate standards of the relevant payor group (e.g. NHS, PMI or Self Pay). Ensuring billing queries are handled promptly and effectively with support of the customer service team. Working closely with central credit control and cash allocation teams to ensure all accounts in your portfolio are reconciled, accurate and recorded. Reporting on reconciliations between all charge accounts and bills raised. Investigate and action any payment shortfalls to ensure collection of all funds from correct parties by credit controller. Maintaining an effective working relationship with hospital colleagues, especially with regard to queries being actively managed with individual hospital departments. Developing a high level of client knowledge for all accounts across your portfolio so that information and reports are provided quickly and efficiently to the management team and across our sites. What we'd be looking for from you To succeed as a Hospital Billing Administrator, you will need: Previous experience of managing a high volume transactional workload. Invoicing experience Ability to work within preset service levels and standards Intermediate Excel skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong team player. Ability to forge internal/external relationships with key stake holders. Attention to detail, methodical. Salary - £20,000-£26,000 dependent on experience Start dates - 18th May or 15th June Working hours - Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm Closing date - 3rd April 2020
