Overview
I am exclusively working on a Head of Procurement vacancy with a rapidly growing, technology service provider. My client is a highly reputable organisation supplying services across the UK and Europe. This is a fantastic time to be joining their team, with significant growth year on year and exciting plans to further expand their business internationally. The successful candidate will manage the procurement process end to end, ensuring suppliers are selected in line with business requirements. You will analyse existing contracts, seeking opportunities to renegotiate costs, improve commercial benefits and eliminate potential risks. Playing a key role in the senior leadership team, influencing best practice in procurement, and executing strategic plans in line with business goals and objectives. Duties and Responsibilities: - Build collaborative supplier relationships to ensure service levels are met - Develop and execute a two-year strategic plan - Proactively improve processes to develop a robust procurement operation in line with industry standards - Liaise with the sales department to ensure commercial development and minimum risk levels - Actively promote cost reduction exercises - Hold regular reviews with key suppliers, producing detailed reports on performance, spend and any relevant concerns - Work closely with stock and logistics teams to manage accurate inventory levels Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experience: - Ideally CIPS qualified - Experience at Senior Procurement level within technology hardware and software - Excellent commercial awareness & negotiation skills - Results focused with a track record of implementing cost saving initiatives and commercial practices - Ability to communicate and present ideas at all levels
