Overview
Senior Buyer – FTC until December 2020 Chadderton, Greater Manchester The Opportunity You will be accountable for the supply of materials / components to meet the requirements of the customer base. This includes meeting cost, delivery, quality and service needs. The successful Senior Buyer will be fully empowered to make decisions regarding demand and supply timescales, pricing and supplier selection. Responsibilities: Efficient and timely purchase of materials to meet production demands Ensuring suppliers perform to the standard required, sourcing new suppliers where necessary Negotiating win-win relationships with suppliers Expediting orders and keeping relevant departments up to date with progress Ensuring goods are fit for purpose Resolving any invoice queries Experience Requirements: Essential Professional qualification (CIPS) or relevant experience 5 Years’ experience in a similar role Experience in Manufacturing industry Thorough understanding of MRP principles Proficient with MS Suite and ERP Software Customer focused and committed to continuous improvement Strong attention to detail Strong communicator/ negotiator Desirable Background in component manufacturing About Rotork Rotork is the market-leading global flow control and instrumentation company, helping our customers manage the flow or liquids, gases and powders across many industries worldwide.
