Senior Front End Developer (angular 8) – South Nottingham- up to £50k Summary: Headline: 2 Front End Developer roles based in the beautiful part of the world that is South Nottingham. Using cutting edge tech and practices, including; JavaScript, angular 8, TypeScript, Jasmine, etc. and DSDM version of Agile, TDD, and DevOps, microservices and cloud (they are providing training on these last 3 to everyone) Salary: £40K - £50K Requirements: decent amount of commercial experience in a development role using JavaScript, CSS, Git, in an Agile environment. Beneficial: TypeScript, angular, Jasmine, TDD, SOLID Principles for the senior role. Location: South Nottingham. Can offer up to 3 days’ remote, and flexible working around their core hours. Some of the key skills/experience for this role; have some, or all of these? Read on · A few years of commercial, enterprise-level web development · Experience with most of; JavaScript, TypeScript, angular, CSS, Git · Agile environment, ideally DSDM, but Scrum or Kanban would be fine too. · An enthusiastic and passionate approach to what you do · Ideally some experience with DevOps, Microservices, Cloud technologies and practices. I’m working with a company based in Nottingham that are making some interesting things with some of the best tech on the market. They have been around for a long time, and have gone through quite a lot of transitions in that time. They make software and sell it as a service, but they are more and more becoming a tech company first. They are putting technology at the heard of what they do, and championing their tech teams. They have seen a lot of companies promise a lot of change but not taken action, and refuse to be one of them. To this end, they are training up everyone in DevOps practices, Cloud technologies, and Microservices, so they can collaborate more effectively, and add extra strings to their skills bow. They have build a brand new purpose-build building to house their tech teams, and are building a multi-storey car park to eliminate this problem, that so many other companies struggle with. They use the latest iterations of each technology they use, as much as they can, to make sure that their staff have up-to-the-minute experience; they love to have a nerd around with the all the new features Finally, they have massively increased their flexible working and working from home capacity to fit around peoples’ lives; they can offer significant working from home for the right candidates, and flexible hours in general, around their core hours. They have a lot of intelligent, friendly, and talented people there to learn from, contribute to the knowledge base alongside, and bounce ideas off. They have a number of different tech teams that span backend C#, Java, and Front End Web Development with JavaScript; the latter is the one that you will be going into in this role So, it’s great for someone that wants to specialise in front end development, but not so much for someone that wants to do full stack. You can, of course, move around the different teams, and do backend work that way, but each team is assigned to different areas, so it would have to be that way, instead of being split across two teams permanently.
