Job Description At RSA we have 2 opportunities to join the UK Change Finance team; these positions can be based in Liverpool, Horsham or London. UK Change is responsible for delivering strategic change and transformation projects for RSA's UK business. This role provides financial insight and support to those projects, as well as robustly challenging decision-making and driving continuous improvement in project performance. A key area will be the responsibility for the development and maintenance of robust business cases, but the role is much wider than this. You will be expected to operate as a genuine partner to the business. You will add value through your use of your financial and strategic expertise, your ability to contribute to business performance and your ability to align the requirements of the Finance function with the business' needs. Role Requirements / Responsibilities Partnering with the UK change programmes, taking the finance lead on: - Development and maintenance of financially sound CBAs - Development of financially sound business strategy and annual operating plans - Monitoring and management of business and financial performance - Identifying / evaluating business opportunities, risks and issues and assessing their financial implications - Development of other business cases and/or remedial action plans to maximize performance where appropriate - Ensuring adherence to relevant financial policies and procedures e.g. applications for capital expenditure/investment - Driving change and quick win activity across the business to ensure benefits are delivered and drive value Inputting into quarterly re-forecasting of project outcomes Inputting into wider UK Change operational planning, including 3-year forecasts Developing and maintaining a network of relationships with project teams and the wider UK business to keep informed on business developments Leading and/or contributing to a wide variety of projects and initiatives as required The Individual To be successful in this position you will ideally; Be a qualified accountant or working towards a qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) Have worked in financial services, although this is not essential Currently be working in an analytical role Be experienced in providing financial rigor to support decision-making Have had exposure to cost benefit tracking analysis or project work Have an ability to multi-task and work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment About us Based on Old Hall Street in the heart of Liverpool's thriving commercial district you will find the RSA Liverpool office. The site is home to c.1100 RSA colleagues including our Global Finance Centre that boasts 170 Finance professionals and RSA Motability business which is run in partnership with The Motability charity. We also have teams on site from Chief Operating Office Personal Lines, HR, Audit, Commercial Lines, Claims and IS. The office has recently been refurbished and boasts a warm and friendly environment.
