Support Worker - Autism and Complex Needs - Northwich - Winsford - Adults Services Your new company An award winning company which is a centre of Autism Excellence. They provide an outstanding range of autism-specific services for both children and adults. iMap provides residential services for young adults with autism, giving 24 hours care to ensure services users can lead the best lives that they deserve. Supporting someone with autism and other complex learning needs effectively can be difficult and take a long time. With the right approach and understanding, positive changes in the lives of the service users can be made. Job Purpose To work as part of a team to provide the highest standard to care to the young people and adults. To proactively assist and support the young people and adults with autism to have positive life experiences, promoting their independence and inclusion in all areas of life. To provide a caring, supportive and nurturing environment where young people and adults can feel secure and free from harm. Establishing positive relationships with young people and adults Key Responsibilities To help with personal care where required To work as part of the staff team to ensure daily household tasks are complete and any health and safety issues are brought to the attention of management. To promote choice to service users. To promote dignity and respect in every element of work. To follow Positive Behaviour Support Plans and any other policies and procedures. What you'll need to succeed A key part of working for iMap is to work with the team to provide the best care to all service users. You will need to be reliable, caring and willing to be flexible when needed. You will need a full UK driving license and be willing to drive service user cars. From time to time it will be necessary to undertake such training as is appropriate to ensure that you have the competence and skills for the role.
