Overview

Becoming a Delivery Practice Support Analyst with Smart DCC: Your role as Delivery Practice Support Analyst is key in ensuring the effective delivery of programmes and projects whilst supporting the growth and development of the delivery practice. Supporting programmes and projects in ensuring adherence to CDM methodology, frameworks and all project documentation is maintained to the required quality. What you'll be doing: Maintaining, monitoring and updating programme and project plans, schedules, risk and issue logs on behalf of assigned programmes and projects - working closely with programme and project managers to ensure quality and standards are adhered to. Undertaking delivery responsibility for discrete project workstreams, work packages or deliverables as assigned by the programme or project. Preparation of programme and project reports working in a timely manner with managers to review and sign off in line with DCC governance and reporting cycles. Supporting new starter onboarding activity ensuring appropriate introductions, access, training and practice / programme induction is planned and delivered effectively. Acting as a key interface for both internal (e.g. Operations, Commercial) and external (Ofgem) functions and liaise with 3rd party teams to ensure effective communication and delivery. Acting as secretariat in key delivery meetings when required - recording, distributing and chasing actions and decisions. Supporting the creation and maintenance of delivery schedules aligned to wider business operating rhythm and governance cycle. What we're looking for: Knowledge of a programme or project related field (e.g. project co-ordinator, PMO) A 'can do' approach, able to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Great organisation skills complimented with the ability to prioritise across multiple diverse project demands. Written and verbal and collaboration skills - ability to work effectively across internal and external teams. Ability to influence and drive improvements to project quality and ensure alignment with DCC standards and methodology Knowledge of working in a similar programme and project environment within a technology industry Competent in using Microsoft suite of tools including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and working knowledge of MS Project. Advanced Excel skills - ability to build and manage complex spreadsheets for management of information. An understanding of project management practice. About Smart DCC Limited (DCC): A wholly owned subsidiary of Capita plc, was awarded the Smart Meter Communication License by the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change on 23 September 2013. DCC is a special purpose vehicle created to carry out the Authorised Business of the License, which is primarily to establish and manage the smart metering communication service for Great Britain. In 2016, DCC launched the data communications infrastructure to enable the nationwide rollout of 53 million electricity and gas smart meters by 2020. Smart meters represent a once in a generation opportunity to transform the energy industry. Accurate, near real-time information captured by smart meters will support the energy market in becoming more responsive, efficient and flexible. The DCC smart meter communication service is a crucial enabler for the energy industry. The service will allow suppliers to install meters in every home and small business across Great Britain. Funded by the energy industry, the DCC network will connect smart meters to the business systems of energy suppliers, network operators and other authorised Users, such as third-party intermediaries. It will offer a secure, consistent service for all energy suppliers and avoid the complexity and duplicated costs of energy suppliers procuring their own networks.
