The Position NHS SBS is transforming, and in order to support this transformation we require a number of project leaders to focus on some of our core IT projects You will either be directly supporting the delivery of a project or programme under the supervision of a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager, taking ownership and accountability for the successful delivery of one or more work packages; or you will be taking ownership and accountability for some of our smaller project deliveries. Key responsibilities In both scenarios you shall receive close support whilst taking accountability for the successful delivery of the work package/project by leading and driving delivery: Agreeing, establishing and maintaining effective and appropriate project controls; Organising and directing the team; Effectively engaging the customer, subcontractors, third parties and project stakeholders throughout the duration of the project/work package; Maintaining a clear understanding of, and regularly reporting, progress, plans, dependencies, risk and status clearly and accurately, escalating appropriately through the Project Manager/Senior Project Manager when necessary. Essential skills Demonstrates at least 3 years’ experience as a Project Leader or Programme Management Office Analyst within a relevant commercial/industry/sector environment; Evidences the successful delivery of work packages and/or projects on both Fixed Price and Time and Materials (T&M) engagements Evidences the successful delivery of work packages and/or projects utilising both waterfall and agile methods.
