A FTSE250 company and many opportunities within the business, this a company that few people want to leave. They are currently looking for a Hedge Accounting Manager to cover maternity leave. The role will be based in their office located close to Liverpool Street, central London. As a key member of the Treasury Finance function, the candidate will have a sound technical knowledge of IFRS9/IAS 39, a good understanding of a treasury function and of the key drivers of value within the business. Your responsibilities will include: • Manage, set up and determine the right strategy for new and existing hedges and prepare hedge documentations • Run effectiveness tests for Fair value and Cash Flow hedges and prepare month end hedging journals • Provide support to the team in analysing more complex movements in daily mark to market P&L and explain the source of ineffectiveness within the hedge relationships • Modelling a new CFH model and achieve audit approval • Preparation and input for mid-year and year end reporting packages including disclosure requirements • Work closely and independently with the hedge accounting auditors in regards to hedge accounting requirements and deliverables • Subject matter expert for any accounting developments or amendments within hedge accounting including effective communication of relevant updates to senior management • Assist the team to perform the monthly close process, ensuring that relevant controls operate effectively and that all variances are adequately explained Previous professional hedge accounting experience is essential, and it is preferred that the candidate have experience of working with SAP, Quantum and Bloomberg. You will be proficient with MS Office packages and possess advanced Excel skills. You are required to be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.
