Overview
I am recruiting for a client of mine based in Central London. They are an extremely prestigeous and established brand with a vibrant and fun office recruitment for a Business Analyst on a permanent basis. You would be joining a team of 25 engineers across mobile, web, data and platform. They are looking for someone to help them continue to evolve the architecture and technology stack of their data systems. They are transforming their data pipelines from PHP scripts to Python. All future projects are now Python based. You will have good software development experience with Python coupled with strong SQL skills. In addition, you will also have a strong desire to work with Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow and the AWS data technologies such as Athena, Redshift, EMR and various other tools in the AWS ecosystem. Role: Data Engineer Salary: Between £60,000 - £66,000 Job Type: Permanent Office Location: Central London Start Work date required: April 2020 Requirements At least 2 years of relevant data engineering experience Strong Python and SQL skills Experience working with a columnar database such as Redshift Experience with ETL and related practices Good cross-team communication skills Familiarity with continuous integration, unit testing tools and related practices Experience with AWS, although they are happy to train you Understanding of Agile Scrum software development lifecycle Implementing and maintaining ETL pipelines using Airflow & AWS technologies Contributing to data driven tools owned by the data engineering team, including content personalisation Helping monitor and look after their data infrastructure in AWS Supporting their Business Analytics & Marketing teams What you'll get from them Two uninterrupted hours a week dedicated to your personal development The flexibility to get that perfect work/life balance More free food than you can ask for.
