Overview
Solution Data Architect required with proven skills in data architecture for modern data science / big data, analytics, large scale data flow / cloud & on premise data platforms to work for highly respected digital consultancy on varied customer facing data architecture projects working across both private and public sector projects right from project inception pre-sales / proof of concept through to delivery as a trusted client advisor and alongside the data science / data engineering team to deliver value and technical innovation using Agile approaches to delivery. £80-100k Bens Bonus to 10% As a Solution Data Architect you will have data centric skills in some of Proven background in data architecture / data modelling and data analysis Significant experience of full lifecycle experience for modern data platforms such as big data / data pipelines / machine learning as well as traditional DWH Client facing and consultancy skills are a significant advantage Agile methods Scrum / Kanban / Lean etc Large scale data processing platforms and tech such Hadoop / Spark / PySpark / Hive / Kafka etc Experience of Cloud centric data platforms Azure / AWS / Redshift etc Data integration / data streaming etc Business intelligence / analytics products or frameworks Knowledge of distributed computing & information security. Hands on programming experience in languages such as Java or Python is a bonus. A strong academic background would be desirable Key aspects of the role a Solution Data Architect would include Client centric data architecture for modern data systems such as big data, data flow pipelines, storage and analytics. Analysis of data centric business problems to understand system requirements, including quality attributes such as performance, availability and security. Be instrumental in developing architectural capability and working alongside a strong team of Data Scientists, Analysts and Data Engineers. Engagement of technical and non-technical customer stakeholders and acting as a trusted advisor at various levels in the organisation, advising and managing expectations Undertaking information assurance where required. Data centric Technology evaluation / assessment; identifying & recommending platforms and services. Technical leadership of data engineering teams through the lifecycle, including mentoring where needed. Representing the company in data centric public forums. This role will be ideally for a Data Architect who wants to work on complex and varied projects for a highly respected company and will involve working for an impressive client base. Previous backgrounds such as consultancy, data vendors, ecommerce, retail, media, public sector / GDS would be useful. The role will be based from the London office with client travel as necessary during projects.
