IT Services Lead, Workington, Full time, Permanent , Circa £30,000 We are excited to support a well known organisation in the conferencing, education and training industry to recruit an IT Services Lead who will be responsible for the continuous development of the organisations IT systems and services. We are looking for someone who will lead on all operational areas of IT service delivery, to ensure a robust IT services portfolio and make best use of technologies to improve the overall IT function. Reporting to the IT Manager the successful person will liaise with and support customers, partner organisations, as well as outsources providers and contractors. The job role Responsible for the operational delivery of all IT Services of the organisation. Working with the Business Services Manager and other members of the Management team to implement IT improvement programmes. Development of a continuous IT Lifecycle for all IT assets and services. Adoption of a holistic approach in regards to all IT services in line with the company's business objectives. Technical Support for the Cyber Lab. Management of the on premise and cloud based IT Services. General day-to-day server administration duties including telephony, Network & AV. Virtualised environment management, including storage groups, snapshotting policies, etc. Responsible for ensuring a robust ? Responsible for the companies' backup and retention policy and procedure. Configuring servers, supporting servers on a daily basis in order to maintain maximum systems uptime and maximum systems utilisation Configuration and preventative maintenance of all servers network infrastructure devices Active directory (AD) configuration as and when needed Documenting equipment specifications and configurations Configuring and supporting specialist hardware and software Producing company and departmental procedures with the aim of setting and maintaining standards for IT implementation and usage Research and sourcing of server and network infrastructure equipment when required, includes AV upgrades & Telephony upgrades. The creation and implementation of IT policies and procedures for the improvement of the current IT systems/structure Microsoft exchange configuration as & when needed. Delivery of Cyber Security Training programmes as required. Is this job for you? Do you have a degree level qualification in Computer Science or IT? Perhaps you don't have a degree but you have plenty of IT relevant experience? We are looking for someone to be competent in Window Server 2012-2016 and supporting enterprise applications i.e. Exchange 2016, SQL Server, Hypervisor Management e.g. VMWare. You will be proficient in Cisco Networking Architecture design and troubleshooting. In addition, knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft CRM Dynamics and Veeam Backup and Replication would be beneficial. You will need to demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills as well as an enthusiastic and self-motivated personality. You will be able to establish productive relationships with people at all levels. You will need to be a good communicator and be able to explain IT issues both verbally and in written form to a variety of none IT people. . We are looking for someone who has a positive and adaptable approach to problem solving who can work to deadlines with good prioritisation and time management skills. DAY TO DAY DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Network user support - Provide IT integration and support to all staff and contractors over the telephone and on site where necessary 2 nd line support for podium/SMART boards/Phones 2 nd line support of the companies IT Helpdesk platform. Manage the Audio/Visual equipment in the building and support as necessary including events. System People are operating as a Recruitment Business in this instance.
