Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful National Financial Services business, who have regional offices in Bristol and are looking for an ambitious graduate or graduate callibre candidate to join their team and train up to be a commercial / business mortgage broker. Previous experience within commercial mortgages is not essential, but the ability to build relationships with clients, & demonstrable sales and business development experience is what we are looking for, together with some finance work experience . This could come from a banking, or accounting and finance or property business environment. This role would suit a driven and articulate individual who ideally has studied accounting and finance, or who has worked within a bank, or property business and has a basic understanding of the principles of lending, mortgages, loans and a business set of accounts. Confidence to make outbound calls to potential clients, gain their trust, establish information, promote the services of the business and attend face to face meetings is essential. Being a warm and engaging personality, able to keep organised and produce reports and plans to support the lending process as well as building lasting relationships is essential. Duties in the role will include:- To maintain up to date market knowledge to enable the identification of appropriate solutions for customers To source and present debt facilities to clients To work to fulfil both the company, and individual, business development plan. To generate business from the database of registered business purchasers and existing operators To create close working relationships with colleagues to maximise referral opportunities and reciprocal business To maintain ongoing contact with prospective clients (both internal and external) to ensure Christie Finance is foremost in their minds for any business finance opportunity To prepare and submit quality applications for finance on behalf of clients To identify and develop relationships with active lending institutions To plan, manage and execute several ongoing assignments at any one time whilst ensuring that tight deadlines are met To operate in line with FCA Guidelines To maintain professional expertise through course attendance, reading of financial journals, and further training in line with but not limited to CF CPD requirements To understand what Treating Customers Fairly and embed this fully within the work.
