Overview
IT Project Manager sought by a leading premium financial services company based near York. A market leader with the majority stake in their field and a growing international presence, this is a unique opportunity to join at an exciting phase of growth for the company. The Role: As IT Project Manager you'll be responsible for the management and successful delivery of multiple projects across the business in multiple environments. Your duties will include: Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope Develop project scopes and objectives, involve relevant stakeholders and ensure feasibility Manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs Governance: identify & mitigate risks/issues, ensure good communication and that internal governance processes are followed and complied with including internal sign-off processes Ensure the maintenance of project plans and regular progress reporting Implement lessons learned and sharing best practices Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques Ensure project change is managed correctly including full impact assessment and change approval process Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation Coordinate internal and external resources as part of the project deliverables Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships Identify business opportunities in addition to the project's scope Report and escalate to the Head of IT where needed Work with all Departments to ensure projects are successfully completed The successful IT Project Manager should have most of the following: At least 3 years in IT project management and excellent project management skills Experience of delivering large- and small-scale IT projects Project Management certification e.g. Prince2, PMP, CPMP Ability to analyse raw data, draw conclusions and develop actionable recommendations Experience of project management software e.g. MS Projects and Excel Familiar with project budgeting and forecasting Strong understanding of Technical IT systems Ability to understand, interpret and integrate emerging IT technologies Strong working knowledge of internal procedures and standards Strong knowledge of key regulatory requirements Experience delivering projects within the financial sector is desirable Agile project management qualifications are desirable In return for you hard work you'll receive a great benefits package including: £40,000 - £55,000 salary depending on experience Up to 33 days' holiday with service (including bank holidays) plus increase with service Salary sacrifice holiday scheme Excellent flexible working arrangement Free onsite gym Onsite crèche Staff discount Government pension Free nights out and events Free parking Free hot drinks Free workwear IT Project Manager York, North Yorkshire - commutable from Harrogate, North Leeds, Wetherby, Ripon, Tadcaster, etc Salary from £40,000 benefits
