Project Manager - London - £55,000 A disruptive FinTech company urgently need a Project Manager to be responsible for the management of their Product Development projects, ensuring their project governance framework is adhered to and project objectives are met. This role will be supporting their Product Development lifecycle, working closely with our Agile development teams, Product Management, Client Services, Infrastructure and Senior Management, leading projects from initiation to closure. The role will also be given the opportunity to manage internal projects to improve processes, tools and drive efficiencies. Key Responsibilities: Ensure projects have well-defined and documented objectives, success criteria, scope and resources Create and maintain the project plan and milestone tracker, capturing key activities, effort, duration, dependencies and resources Work with the Product Manager to identify key project milestones and critical dependencies within and across multiple projects Identify resource requirements and secure resource assignment for delivery, taking into account skills, knowledge, experience and availability of staff Ensure product designs and implementation adhere to their security, controls and standards, and are approved by relevant stakeholders Track and manage project performance, including actual delivery timescales against planned and actual costs against plan Liaise with workstream leads to track delivery status, provide leadership and guidance to ensure short- and long-term project goals and milestones are achieved Measure and manage project benefits and costs to ensure effective use of resources Produce regular status reporting to project team and management Identify and track risks and issues, implement mitigations, escalating issues/roadblocks when necessary Maintaining project documentation, including project plan and RAID log Lead projects to closure, liaise with Technical Support and Client Services teams, ensure product is fully transitioned into business-as-usual (BAU) production support state Stakeholder Management and Communications: o Communicate ongoing project status to stakeholders, including senior management Build and maintain rapport with members of project team, including Scrum Master, Project Sponsors, Product Managers/Owners and Developers Communicate and follow up with appropriate parties to mitigate risks and resolve issues Investigate project blockers, identify root causes and provide problem resolutions to project teams and stakeholders Essential: Experience in a full-time Project Management role, preferably in a Software/Product Development environment Solid working knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, understanding the pros and cons of each methodology, and apply the most effective tools and techniques Experience presenting to a CEO/COO on a regular basis You will need to understand the principles of Project Management and able to explain the benefits a PM delivers on a project You will need to be prepared to talk about the most challenging project(s) you've managed - what challenges were they, and how they, as the PM, overcame those challenges You will need to be able to describe how SCRUM or Kanban works Desirable: Project Management Qualification(s) (PMP, PMI-ACP, Prince2 Practitioner) This job was originally posted as www.cwjobs.co.uk/job/89962897
