Overview

The firm can offer sponsorship of the Cost Lawyer qualification to candidates once passing probation if they are not already qualified. Candidates would be joining a large, well-established costs team and be expected to manage their own caseload dealing with solicitor's files across a range of disciplines. The successful applicant will be expected to prepare Bills of Costs, Budgets,Points of Dispute and Replies and the role may also require participation in negotiations. As you gain experience, it is expected that you will be given increased responsibility to manage more complex and higher valued cases. Suitable candidates may also be given the opportunity to have some involvement in advocacy. Applicants should be committed, flexible and able to work with minimum supervision whilst demonstrating impeccable organisation and communication skills. Applicants should ideally have a good level of education and a minimum of 1 year's costs drafting experience.
