Overview
We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a hugely successful company based in the Trafford area. The successful candidate will be working within a large dynamic and rapidly growing finance team, on a permanent basis. Within this role, you will be reporting to and assisting the Management Accountant in the day to day running of the accounts department. You will be able to work as part of a team responsible for the processing, recording and reviewing monthly accounting transactions. This role requires a thorough understanding of accounts and a highly motivated, inquisitive approach. Responsibilities include: Assisting with month-end process, including analysis of P&L and balance sheet accounts through to preparing the Management Accounts pack. Daily and month-end bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts Ad hoc project work Margin reconciliation Variance analysis/reporting Assisting in the budgeting process Accruals and pre-payments You will play a part in streamlining and ultimately improving processes This role will ideally suit a candidate who is AAT qualified or studying towards their CIMA/ACCA qualification. You must be willing to learn, have strong analytical skills and can work productively in a high-pressure and demanding environment.
