Overview
Children's Residential Your new company Are you an individual who has experience in working with children in care? Are you able to build rapport and encourage children to lead a positive and healthy lifestyle? This could be the next move for you Our client is current seeking experienced individuals to work within one of their new services as a Residential Support Worker. The take a great deal of care in ensuring that the young people they support are provided with positive care and giving opportunities to explore their emotional support needs in view to achieving positive outcomes. They work with children who have not had the best start in life and engage in positive external activities to promote security and independence. Your new role You will be working with children who have experienced trauma/neglect/abuse in their young lives and engaging in social activities as well as support them within the children home. The role will also involved general domestic duties and providing emotional support to children when required. You will be working with children who may show signs of challenging behaviour and working towards helping them to improve in view to overcoming issues they express. What you'll need to succeed You will be a caring individual who is experience in working with children in a similar setting and be able to support them day-to-day to encourage positive behaviours. You will be supporting and working with other staff to ensure that the support service runs as smoothly as possible by ensuring the support is there for the children when required.
