Overview
Are you an experienced Software Engineer / Developer ? Do you have great Java or C++ development experience ? Would you like to work for a global software company with their HQ in Edinburgh ? If so I have a really interesting role where you will deliver high quality software solutions using the best software engineering practices. Your responsibilities will include: Development of significant features and components of their product suite Be responsible for all aspects of the development lifecycle, including analysis, design, implementation and testing Deliver personal development tasks as required and also as part of the team Work on diverse and dynamic projects Assist with the management of the development lab environment · Provide 3rd level application support where appropriate Your experience should include: · Extensive object-oriented software development experience in Java or C++ · RDBMS knowledge and experience, e.g. SQL Server/Oracle/MySQL · Experience of working within Agile and multi-discipline teams e.g. scrum, iterative development, user stories etc. · Have been a Technical Lead for major software developments · Strong problem-solving and analytical skills · Identify and lead the implementation of creative improvements to working practices, innovative technology solutions and tool selections You should also have a desire to learn new languages and technologies.
