Overview

A Quality, Environment and Safety Engineer is required to maintain and improve an integrated management system according to the required management system standards (i.e. ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO27001 & ISO45001) and run the site safety and security risk management program. Candidates with knowledge or experience with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO27001 and ISO45001 would be well received. Due to increased workloads this company, the world's largest independent company for development, simulation and testing technology of powertrains, requires a proactive QES Engineer, based in Basildon, to provide support and coaching for projects regarding use and adherence to the relevant processes and safe systems of work. As a QES Engineer you will be required to: Responsibilities: Run regular internal audits on projects, processes and departments Monitoring of compliance of local organisation with global and local processes and procedures Review local compliance when changes occur with Health and Safety, environmental and information security acts and regulation Monitor key performance indicators for local site Monitor the use of the process and methodologies in projects Be the key contact for projects and customers regarding safety and security topics Coordinate risk workshops Be the 'Point of Call' for all safety and security incidents Review customer safety and security requirements to improve customer satisfaction Support for preparation of assessments (e.g. customer audits, HQ audits, external audits and assessments) To carry out investigations into all safety and security accidents, incidents and nearmiss incidents and to record the findings on the relevant forms The Quality, Environment and Safety Engineer should have the following skills or experience: Specialist certification in Health and Safety, Environment or Security (IOSH, NEBOSH, GDPR Practitioner) Good verbal and written communication skills Flexible and adaptable to changing work requirements Ability to organise and prioritise a demanding workload and to proactively manage a variety of different cases to conclusion at any given time Excellent problem solving skills Confident in using basic Microsoft Package (Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint) Full UK driving licence and willing to travel Relevant experience within automotive facilities is advantageous This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with experience undertaking risk assessments (security or safety) to develop your career.
