Overview

Our client are an emerging data analytics company, focused largely on developing predictive and optimisation solutions for clients, predominantly in consumer goods and services. They have already worked with several international brands in telecoms, banking, retail, travel and consumer goods. They are seeking to hire a Data Science Intern, initially for 10 - 15 weeks, with a view to making it a longer term appointment. The role will provide an aspiring data scientist an opportunity to become involved in a live analytics engagement in a support capacity, working with a multi-disciplinary team. Initial focus of the role Supporting data assessment, exploratory analytics, and process / methodology Undertaking research-based work to support data modelling / coding activities. Partake in client meetings (virtually to begin with) supporting project requirements Candidate preferences Applicants should ideally: have a proven academic background in a Data Science/Machine Learning, Computer Science or a related quantitative field possess good technical proficiency in commonly used ML libraries (ideally R and Python) GIVEN THE CURRENT TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, THIS ROLE WILL INITIALLY BE BASED REMOTELY THOUGH APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE TO ATTEND CLIENT MEETINGS IN LONDON BETWEEN 5 - 10 DAYS PER MONTH
