Overview
A rapidly growing Green Energy business based in the Widnes area is currently looking for a Management Accountant to join the business as number one in the Finance team, as a result of the exceptional growth it has seen over the last 12-18 months. As the business is presently looking to expand its product offering into the Bio-Fuels sector, this is a very exciting time to be joining the business, and they are looking for individuals who aren’t afraid to get stuck in. Purpose: The remit of the role will be to have overall responsibility for the internal accounting systems and provision of financial information to effectively enable the MD to make forward-facing commercial decisions. Following an initial project to update the financial reporting capability, the role will require forecasting for investment projects/new revenue streams. Main responsibilities: Manage a small team Produce accurate monthly management accounts VAT reconciliation Ensure all payments made to suppliers and third parties are made accurately and in line with agreed timescales To manage and control the recording of all financial information on the company’s system To oversee Credit Control to ensure the company receives payment within the correct timescales Liaise with auditors and third parties effectively To maintain effective relationships with the bank to support our business requirements Work with the company accountants on the preparation and delivery of the annual accounts To be responsible for managing policies linked to company insurance/finance To ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met regarding company financial matters If this role sounds like an exciting opportunity for you, then please apply for immediate consideration.
