Overview
A leading Defence and Aerospace Engineering Solutions Provider are seeking a Rig Engineer to join their Rig Development and Maintenance team Role Responsibilities •TCL scripting is needed to update the configuration of the rig. •Basic electrical knowledge and avionics needed to interact with stakeholders. •Basic hardware equipment knowledge to update PCs and cards used within the rigs. •Tortoise SVN knowledge to track configuration changes. •TCL scripting needed to understand and update different tools. •C, C++, C# scripting needed to understand and updates different tools. •Website development knowledge (PHP) needed to understand and update the landing gear test website. •Tortoise SVN knowledge needed to track configuration changes. Experience / Qualifications Required •A degree in Avionics or Software Development Engineering. A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar is also acceptable as long as there is proof of continuous development and/or experience in programming and scripting. •Excellent level of written and spoken English; communication is key as the configuration requirements need to be clear and agreed across different stakeholders. •Capable of working individually and as part of a team. •Some knowledge of project management expected (likely to take the role of EPL). •Analytical, investigative and problem solving. •Experience in the Aerospace industry, preferably working with Airbus (but not necessarily). •Excellent prioritisation skills. •Customer facing. •Availability at any time to support test engineers working on the rig (reactive support). •Capable of working autonomously (or becoming autonomous quickly after ramp up is completed).
