Overview

The Job: Comtact is a well-established, entrepreneurial, technology company focused on delivering cyber-security and cloud transformation to some of the UK’s most respected brands. We are expanding our software development team and are seeking experienced Python developers to work on an exciting new cyber security platform. Working with a highly experienced Product Manager in a growing team, this position will work as a core member and possibly development lead for this solution which is due for launch this year. The role includes designing, configuring, deploying, a SaaS based cyber platform designed to address some of the biggest challenges facing businesses in the UK. We are seeking candidates for either developer or lead developer positions that have extensive experience in working with next generation development environments. Our multi-tiered platform will be delivered through Azure Cloud services based upon a Django Web Framework, MariaDB, Elastic Stack and React.js Developers with a background in these technologies and delivery through Azure would be ideal candidates. We have an exciting roadmap that will include future work in Data Analytics and AI so we seek engineers that thrive in a dynamic environment where everyone contributes to the growth of this solution. We seek candidates that have experience developing commercially viable solutions where they are: Working in an Agile software engineering environment to deliver awesome features that will delight our customers and serve our business well. Writing software in an iterative environment using continuous integration and continuous delivery. Working in a collaborative environment to design, prove, document, engineer, test, deploy, scale and operate software. Contributing technically to ensure design feasibility; approach; usability; architecture; code quality; testability; scalability; and performance. Suggesting appropriate technologies, techniques and standards to help deliver our goals. Interested in CyberSecurity and protecting businesses against cyber attacks Location: Milton Keynes Our head office is based in the centre of Milton Keynes in our state of the art Spaces workspace, with a large terrace, pool table, breakout space and coffee shop. Must Have Skills Experience of examining software to determine requirements for new/modified systems Experience of writing and coding individual programs to specification Experience of contributing to a codebase with regular code reviews Desirable Skills Experience of collecting relevant user behaviour data from websites and mobile apps Experience of designing and building interfaces Experience of planning and maintaining database structures Experience of tests and corrects software programs Experience of implementing and evaluating software Experience of writing operational documentation and providing subsequent support and training for users Package And Benefits: Salary £65- 80k based on experience and total compensation that may include Stock Grants and Release Bonuses.
