Overview
An established and successful Market Making firm based in the City is looking for a talented Site Reliability Engineer to help improve performance and stability across their trading platforms. It is a new function and a critical role to ensure their day to day trading activities are optimized and uninterrupted. The successful SRE will be responsible for monitoring, tweaking and preventing incidents from happening and if unsuccessful, resolve them. You’ll also be in charge of future releases, making sure they have a positive impact to trading by implementing tools to further automate their processes. What is required to be a Site Reliability Engineer: Linux System Administration Strong programming/scripting skills in Python Experience working on large distributed systems using containers/microservices Experience in a CI/CD environment (Octopus / TeamCity / Jenkins) Interest in performance tuning and optimization Experience supporting Trading systems would be a strong advantage On top of a highly competitive base salary, my client is offering performance-based bonuses which can be multiple of base in good years.
