Project Manager | Technology, Software Delivery Working as a Project Manager for a digital agency who build bespoke software & technology products across a range of client industries. Taking ownership of one product delivery team, driving technology development projects in an Agile environment. As the Project Manager, you'll have the responsibility of leading a skilled team in the design and delivery of high-quality digital solutions. The projects are software development projects and will be focused on the delivery of these in an agile and tech-led environment. Typical project lengths are between 3-6 months, rarely exceeding 12 months. Project values vary significantly but as a guide you'll be leading projects with values less than £1million, typically in the £250-500k range. What's in it for you? You'll be leading an agile project team consisting of developers, QA and a Product Owner. You'll be working in an agile environment, following Scrum. You'll be working for a specialist digital agency and will therefore have exposure to a huge variety of client projects across different industries. Typical project lifecycles are between 3-6 months, and rarely exceed 12 months. Again, you'll therefore have exposure to fast moving client projects to gain a wealth of experience. You'll be focused on Greenfield development projects across the full SDLC. You'll have access to online learning courses and a training budget to improve your skills. What will I be doing in the role? You'll drive best-practice solutions; leading the team to engineer solutions to problems and then planning the best ways to execute these in development lifecycle. You'll support junior, mid, and senior developers in driving best practice. You'll be involved across the whole SDLC, from initial requirements gathering to end client delivery. You'll be facilitating the team to make the right decisions, bringing together technical and non-technical team members. You'll drive high-quality across all delivery projects. You'll manage the relationship with the client; understanding their challenges and goals, managing project deadlines & timescales and keeping them informed regularly across all project stages. Define your own development; you'll take ownership of your training and workload to grow your career. What will I need to succeed in the role? A strong background as a Project Manager with experience of delivering software projects; this can be across web, desktop, or mobile based software applications. Experience of managing and leading a small project team. Good agile knowledge; you might be a qualified scrum master, agilePM etc. You'll need to understand best practice and the benefits of following this to drive best development practice. Good account management experience; maybe you've worked for a digital agency or a company that provides technology solutions to an end client, but you understand the importance of building strong relationships with your clients.
