Overview

Working as part of this well-established and successful business, the Payroll Administrator will be processing the weekly payroll for staff, from gathering the information, through to making payments and dealing with any enquires. Joining this friendly, busy team, the Payroll Administrator will be key to the efficient and accurate payroll processing, as well as the provision of a helpful, approachable and professional all-round payroll service to staff. To apply for the Payroll Administrator role, you must have previous experience within a payroll position, along with a professional manner both over the phone and face to face. You will have IT skills in payroll software (ideally Sage 50), MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Key Responsibilities: Ensuring the timely and accurate production of weekly payroll using an attendance system Assisting with any payroll enquires or complaints Calculating and processing weekly hours in Sage 50 Processing new starters and leavers Maintaining absence recording Ensuring statutory compliance of the payroll Processing end of month payroll Providing technical knowledge and guidance on all pay related issues as well as support to the operations teams Essential Skills: Previous experience of processing payroll related information and inputting to payroll systems Knowledge of payroll administration processes and procedures Knowledge of up to date statutory and legislative regulations in relation to payroll such as tax, NI, maternity/paternity and pensions Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy whilst meeting tight deadlines Experience of working in an environment which requires confidentiality Strong level of computer literacy, including payroll software, MS Excel and Word
