Overview

Inventory Stores Controller £Negotiable plus benefits This position is an immediate start. It is working for an outstanding company based near Cambridge. The reason for the post is that the client is growing and will be recruiting for a permanent person, however in the first instance they are looking for a skilled candidate to help on a temporary basis. As part of the Inventory Control team, your key responsibilities will include: • Lead a team to support the management of the Goods Inwards department and deputise for the Senior Inventory Controller in Stores. • Working alongside the quality group to ensure inspection meets necessary standards • Oversight and review of all relevant department processes and procedures • Accurately update transactions onto the Stock management system • Ensure all inbound/outbound shipments are booked accordingly • Maintain updated records of Master data as appropriate to role • Provide information to customers about the status of their orders and help assist with any queries as a result • Carry out stock counts as and when appropriate • Manage department Health and Safety • Accurately pick, pack & despatch all shipments out including small & pallet shipments The Inventory Stores Controller will have: • Experience within a Stores / Goods Inwards / Despatch environment • A can-do attitude and willingness to learn and take on new tasks • A flexible, responsive approach and mindset to work productively in a busy environment • A good understanding of import/export documentation • Have the ability to effectively prioritise workload and juggle tasks accordingly • Have the ability to create accurate reports • Have an understanding of utilising a computer-based Stock management system within ERP Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm For more information on the Inventory Stores Controller, please contact Lisa Parsons
