Overview

JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE To be the initial point of contact for new clients to the Family department by identifying the nature of their legal issue, establishing whether it is one we can assist with and liaising with our solicitors to allocate the new client efficiently and effectively. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Responding to incoming external client enquiries through phone and e-mail using good telephone manners and written communication skills Addressing client needs in an empathetic manner with attention to detail to ensure full understanding of their enquiry and that information relating to our service and funding requirements is made clear to them Ensuring client satisfaction by explaining requirements and procedures in an easy to understand way Liaising internally with good humour and a team mentality Demonstrating ability to build client relationships by using a client-focused approach Documenting client contact and ensuring that the documentation is always up to date Maintaining weekly reports on client enquiries, responses and feedback, to include regular reviews of the process itself Adopting an enthusiastic and positive attitude Other commensurate duties as may be allocated by supervisors from time to time ESSENTIAL Experience of dealing with customer queries Good telephone manner, listening skills and the ability to obtain the required information from the caller to identify the issues that need assistance Good verbal and written communication skills including spelling and punctuation IT skills, especially MS Word and Outlook Empathy, patience, enthusiasm, attention to detail and a positive attitude DESIRABLE Experience in familiarising self with unfamiliar material and completing standard form documentation Knowledge of client surveys and service quality No prior legal knowledge or experience is required for this role and it is not suitable for someone seeking a training contract.
