Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an experience individual who experience in the management of the international Student Advice and International Compliance teams is this London University. This role is to cover maternity leave and the duration will be for approx. 8 months. JOB PURPOSE: You will lead from the front on the operational development and management of the International Student Advice and International Compliance teams, to ensure that applicants, current students, recent graduates and their defendants are provided with appropriate advice and guidance relating to student immigration matters and Tier 4 compliance; The University is compliant as a Tier 4 sponsor of the Points Based System and maintains its licence; Therefore, compliance is balanced by excellent customer service to deliver a high quality student experience. You will be required to develop and manage the timely record keeping and reporting of students on SITS and the Home Office’s Sponsor Management System (SMS); and ensure accurate and timely information is disseminated to students, staff and our UK and overseas agents; You will be working in accordance with OISC Code of Standards and UKCISA Code of Ethics; work within sector best practice. The focus of the role is primarily in relation Tier 4 but also includes policies and processes for the short-term student, Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur), Tier 4 (Doctorate Extension Scheme) and other relevant visa routes; Ensuring at all times to uphold and monitor the University’s policies, procedures and processes related to our Tier 4 sponsor licence and Basic Compliance Assessment (BCA) obligations, to ensure Home Office/UKVI compliance; Monitor developments in UK immigration legislation and give advice on how the legislations impacts on all aspects of the university’s business, particularly in relation to international student activity; You will be responsible for approx 20 staff. Therefore, we would expect you to have management experience, possess excellent communication skills and be able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders of varying levels. There is a full JD available. The ideal candidate will have extensive Tier 4 Student Immigration knowledge, along with knowledge of compliance and audits required in relation to student immigration.
