Electrically and electronically qualified and skilled Technical Support Engineer required for a world leader in the electrical engineering industry, based in Telford on their permanent day shift. You will provide technical support across the board, from technical quotations, to product availability and general technical queries. If this role is of interest, please apply today Job Outline To provide an all-encompassing front end technical support experience through all forms of customer contact and on all aspects of technical queries, quoting, pricing, and product availability. Promoting and developing the relationship between the internal and external teams; liaising as necessary with the respective Regional/ Product Management staff in order to progress or resolve a customer enquiry. The Job Role: Respond to and co-ordinate all technical enquires from respective area of responsibility or product specialism; ensuring the query is tracked and followed up to ensure the customer receives prompt and comprehensive advice Answer and log all incoming telephone calls and either handle the call appropriately or direct it to a relevant staff member Respond to all price and availability calls promptly and efficiently Efficiently and promptly deal with queries directed to the team Undertake and support the creation of quotes following the prescribed process and follow up as necessary with the Sales Engineer/ customer Make proactive sales calls and create and capture any potential leads arising from any type of customer interface and follow up on all leads within 48hrs or refer to the Sales Engineer for follow up as applicable Resolve customer complaints to a satisfactory level Undertake/ support production orders Continually review processes and propose recommendations for improvements so as to ensure processes are as effective and efficient as possible Provide other ad hoc support across the company as required Experience / Requirements: Experience, knowledge and qualifications: Qualification in Electrical & Electronic Engineering Standard UK electrical networks Knowledge of BS7671 18th Edition wiring regs an advantage Networking and bus systems Skillset: Excellent communicator Excellent IT skills in Excel, Word Knowledge of CRM databases an advantage Organised and efficient The Package: This is a full time position with a company offering long term employment prospects with competitive salary and favourable working hours EXCELLENT employment benefits to include competitive holiday entitlement, sick pay and contributory pension.
