Overview
Site Based Civil Engineer required for long term contract with a Council. Out of Scope of IR-35 Your new company This is a role for a North London council with a large project that requires a site based Engineer to look after a number of contractors working on the repair of a retaining wall. Your new role You will be site based 5 days a week and basically acting as the eyes and ears for the Project team. Reporting into a Senior Project Manager you will have day to day responsibility for ensuring work is completing on time and to a high standard. What you'll need to succeed You will need a background in highways or highways structures and be used to working on site rather than office based. You will need to have retaining wall and reinforced concrete structure experience as well as implementation of works. What you'll get in return The role has been deemed out of scope and you can be paid into your own limited company for the duration of the project. This is expected to be at least a year and probably extended on close to 2 years. The rate on the job is negotiable but expected to be circa £35ph - £40ph.
